“Nothing about us, without us”

While there is an increasing body of literature on women and imprisonment, there is a lack of scholarship that foregrounds the voices of those women who have lived prison experience. This chapter documents the literature and other media that give voice to criminalised women and explores how women with lived prison experience have contributed to the movement for social change in Australia.
