ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 delves specifically into common external signs of disease or trauma including general findings, as well as specific findings on the skin, extremities, and trunk. External clues on the body at the scene may help provide specific points for the pathologist to study during the autopsy examination. These external clues may also help provide information for further questioning of witnesses at the scene and search for medical records and other documentation on the decedent.
