ABSTRACT

In the summer of 2019, nine quantitative researchers met at a castle in Missillac, France, to discuss their most recent contributions to the analysis of multitrait-multimethod (MTMM) data, and this volume represents the proceedings of their discussion. This chapter reviews the major themes of that discussion, which include (1) careful considation of methods, (2) the CT-CM versus CT-C(M-1) debate, (3) empirical underidentification, (4) Bayesian estimation, and (5) a reconsideration of principal component analysis.
