ABSTRACT
This study offers new acoustic data for Polish oral vowels. The first two formants were measured in vowels embedded in several consonantal frames, taken from read speech provided by ten female native speakers of Polish. The resulting data are compared to older acoustic data from the literature. Some contextual effects are also explored.
