ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author expresses her experiences with Levi and her sourness on the close association Levi has between homosexuality and flamboyance. The author loved talking to gay men, but also hesitant with a boyfriend as there came the possibility of losing her virginity. She talks about her friend Matt from whom she learned that that the oppression of homosexuals has not slowly been diminishing over time in a linear fashion and that in fact there were points in the early 20th century where homosexuality was acknowledged with indifference or curiosity but not severe discrimination. The author also expresses that she enjoys the prospect of an orgasm with a stranger as much as the next gay, and man sex.
