ABSTRACT

The author says that the day she broke up with her boyfriend was probably the best day of her life. She feels that because there was no conversation at all about sexuality, especially not for women, it did not even occur to her that her lack of interest in romance and sex had more to do with her sexuality and less to do with her religion. It was from one of the clickbait quizzes that she realized that she was registered as Demisexual. This was the highlight of her understanding of who she was as a sexual being. The Church could not tell her what to think anymore, and she had all of the joy comes with recognizing herself in a word: asexual. She would have been happier by herself than she would have been trying to make a sexual relationship work.
