ABSTRACT

It is very helpful, when dealing with others, to appreciate that decisions made and approaches taken are not solely based on an evaluation of a situation readers are confronted with or need to address but will also have been affected by a variety of different influences during our lives. Meeting, working, sharing and cooperating with your colleagues will become the number one activity alongside your teaching and involvement with children and students. The designated special educational needs person will be able to provide as much information and advice as appropriate to help you regarding the special needs of specific children within your classroom. Calls are a two-way process so make sure you listen to what they are saying. They may give you some hints regarding other issues that may be taking place and could prove important, so give them time to speak, and listen.
