ABSTRACT

Aerial photography is sometimes the ideal way to reveal details of a subject from above. Examples of where aerial photography can be helpful includes documenting damage caused by natural disasters, monitoring crops, sharing real estate and properties, and mapping new developments required for inspection. Drones are small commercially available radio-controlled aircraft, typically operated by a person using a transmitter usually within the line of sight of the aircraft. Moving the multi-rotors position forward, backward and turning is achieved by varying the rotation of one or more of the rotors. Multi-rotors create a stable platform for aerial imaging since they can hover like a helicopter and multiple rotors contribute to the aircraft’s stability. There are essentially three categories of drones: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Global Positioning System greatly improves the accuracy of flying the drone by communicating with several satellites and aiding in the positioning of the aircraft.
