Photography of natural science subjects in their habitats is the best way of conveying the most information about the them. It allows viewers to see where they live and reveals aspects of their behaviors or ecology. Daylight’s brightness, quality, and color, varies throughout the day, and the environment in which one may be working offers a multitude of potential problems and hazards. Mirrorless cameras are generally much lighter and more compact than DSLRs, and are likely replace the DSLR camera in popularity in the next few years. Camera traps have become established as an excellent way of monitoring and photographing animal populations in an area. A camera bag selected for carrying equipment should be comfortable to carry in the field, hold the equipment safely yet accessibly, be weatherproof, and flexible about how it can be packed. Modern cameras give remarkably good results at higher ISO values which can be up to several thousand.
