ABSTRACT
When you stop to think about it, governments are pretty strange creatures. After all, governments claim for themselves the right to do lots of things that nobody else can do. Governments can take your money without your consent, and this is called “taxation” rather than “robbery.” Governments can forcibly seize you and lock you in a cage for violating its rules, and this is called “arrest and imprisonment” rather than “kidnapping.” Governments can tell you what foods and medicines you are allowed to consume, and this is called “regulation” rather than “being a busybody.”
