ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the experience of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal of Costa Rica in organising presidential debates, particularly in the 2018 elections. It is a case of debates organised by the electoral body, under equal conditions for all candidates. The text details the background, legal norms, logistics, structure, and impact of the debates.
