ABSTRACT

Yehudi A. Cohen is Professor of Anthropology, Livingston College, Rutgers University. He has conducted field work in Jamaica, Okinawa, and Israel. His principal interests are political anthropology, cultural evolution, culture and personality, religion, and cross-cultural research. He is the author of The Transition from Childhood to Adolescence and Social Structure and Personality: A Casebook. He was the 1955 recipient of the Socio-Psychological Award of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
