ABSTRACT
Dupont and Nichols explore Street League Skateboarding (SLS) through Ritzer’s McDonaldization (and deMcDonaldization). The chapter primarily investigates the initial SLS contests in order to fully understand the historical foundations of the contest. It also explores some shifts that have led to the deMcDonaldized over the years.
