ABSTRACT

This chapter describes how the ORCA-Stance is integrated throughout a master’s level, family therapy psychotherapy training program. The clinical program holds secondary accreditation and is housed within a Christian university context. The chapter describes how the foundational ideas of openness, respect, curiosity, and accountability (particularly to unrecognized social power) are initially communicated to students as well as reflected on throughout their developmental training sequence. Activities for faculty as well as students are described which provide isomorphic structures to facilitate a stance of humility and multicultural awareness throughout the program.
