ABSTRACT
Michael Löwy has woven a broad reflection on revolutionary romanticism and the Marxist critique of progress. These are two essential topics of anti-capitalist thought that are of great importance for reconstructing a revolutionary project from an ecosocialist perspective, going beyond a dominant vision that pays homage to the productive forces and that professes a unilinear and mechanical vision of progress. In this chapter, some of the main contributions of Michael Löwy on the topics are analyzed.
