ABSTRACT
The newest member of the MARC Format family is the USMARC Format for Holdings and Locations. Presently in a “Final Draft,” the Format has already had a significant impact on libraries. As the other MARC Formats have had a great impact on automation in libraries, so will this new format, but in an area where others feared to tread: the World of Serials Control.
