ABSTRACT
As a college library director 1 am assumed to be an expert on “What library skills should high schools impart to college-bound students?” The questioners are usually high school people trying to increase bibliographic instruction for the college-bound, and they figure my opinion can be used as a weapon against the unbelievers. They expect I will give them a long and detailed list of library skills such students must master if they are to succeed in college.
