ABSTRACT
PSG College of Technology and PSG Institute of Advanced Studies both belong to the PSG & Sons’ Charities, a trust close to a century old and administering upward of 30 educational Institutions of calibre and repute. It is based in Coimbatore – a city in Southern India renowned for its industrial expertise, educational institutions and for its cotton and textile industry. The objectives and goals of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Manual are summarised as follows: ‘throughout the world, Higher Education Institutions function in a dynamic environment. The NAAC-recommended criteria form the heart of the monitoring and evaluation system. Although the selection and interpretation of the criteria and the key indicators (KIs) for assessing the study abroad experience would vary from institution to institution, a description of each KI inspired by the NAAC framework.
