ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to identify the characteristics, limitations and consequences of the tripartite paradigm of malnutrition, with a focus on the category of obesity. But I will also question the tripartite classification itself and suggest the need for a re-framing and re-classification of malnutrition in all its forms.
