ABSTRACT
A procedure is described for planning or for a major renovation of a science-technology library facility. Included are the preparation of the librarian for the task, the formation of a planning committee, selection of an architect, the possible use of a consultant, and the writing of a program statement with projections of space requirements for five years or more of collections, services and staff for the guidance of the architect.
