ABSTRACT
Most people visiting a zoo probably give no thought to the existence of special libraries serving zoo employees. As a matter of fact, most special librarians visiting a zoo probably don’t realize that the zoo might very well be served by a library or information center. The fact that zoo libraries are so little known has prompted the selection of such libraries as the theme for an issue.
