ABSTRACT
This issue returns to the alliance, or dalliance, of Fox and Horne Tooke. The ‘Imitation’, written as if by Fox, upturns a charming love-poem from Bion, to have Tooke as a perverted Cupid. With Fox’s affection for the House of Commons weakening, the anti-jacobins show Fox seduced into overtly radical politics.
