ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some of the reviews of the works of romantic women writers which were published in the Attic Miscellany. The writers whose works were reviewed are Aphra Behn and Mariana Starke. On Starke's The Widow of Malabar, the review says the work possesses that species of negative merit, which is sufficient to secure it from d—n; though inadequate to promote its success.
