ABSTRACT
Biographies of three women – Frances Brooke, Hannah Cowley and Dorothy Schlözer – appear in a variety of forms across a range of magazines. We also provide here a biography of Susanna Cibber and summarize that of Ann Emelinda Foster. For each woman writer with multiple similar biographies, we provide a base text which is the version of the biography that is most complete; we then collate each magazine version against that base text. That collation appears following the base text.
