ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book describes the development of Virtual Reality (VR) app as part of the module on presentation skills. It mimics a prison, school, or community environment through an immersive simulation using a VR headset. The book seeks to add to the body of knowledge concerning social theories of learning with specific reference to the use of and particular characteristics of Twitter. It shares the development of an innovation at the University of Western Australia where students created apps for community organisations. The book advocates creating learning opportunities with the right balance between online delivery and the need for non-digital, in-person law teaching, which requires thoughtful and reflective engagement with learning designs. It ensures that students and clients have access to legal information in the digital age through the administration of legal clinics at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw.
