ABSTRACT

Growth and change characterize the acquisition of electronic access to information as we currently know it. Budgets earmarked for electronic access increase year by year. Acquisitions staff endeavor to plan workflow and create records to track trial or free subscriptions as well as paid orders. It is important to retain record flexibility to accommodate changing order specifications and to provide useful management reports. The challenge of staying abreast of recent developments in the marketplace has increased as well. [Article copies available for a fee from The Haworth Document Delivery Service: 1–800–342–9678.
