Did the devastating persecution and reforms of Antiochus IV Epiphanes have an impact on the LXX version of Proverbs? 1

In a book titled Law, Prophets, and Wisdom: On the Provenance of Translators and their Books in the Septuagint Version, I reached the conclusion that “LXX Proverbs came into being in the wake of the Hellenisation of Palestine, after the Antiochian crisis.” ¹ It is the aim of this paper to demonstrate the extent to which Antiochus IV Epiphanes’s persecution of the Jews had an impact upon the Septuagint of Proverbs. ²
