ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on doing digital humanities with digital storytelling to promote new frameworks and creative practices for scholarship, teaching, and learning. Three approaches to digital storytelling, oral history, podcasting, and multimedia, each with an emphasis on sound, are discussed. Resources are provided. The chapter concludes with the idea that doing digital humanities with sound-based digital storytelling can promote teaching and learning practices focused on critical thinking, communication, digital literacy, and civic engagement.
