ABSTRACT
The Dutch have always been known as “the traders of the world.” For centuries they have been involved in international trade and they still do. Today, the importance of trade to the Netherlands is exemplified by the fact that Rotterdam is the largest seaport in the world, and that Amsterdam International Airport is one of the major air cargo handling centers on the European continent.
