ABSTRACT
Any library contemplating offering a comprehensive program of library instruction must begin by asking three questions: will the program meet student needs, will the goals and objectives be realistic, and will the program be cost effective? 1 The last question is probably the most difficult to answer, yet it is a question which must certainly be answered if administrators are to be convinced of the need to support and commit funds to programs of library instruction.
