ABSTRACT
In 1962 NASA initiated a technology transfer program to encourage the secondary utilization of the scientific and technical information that it had developed during the course of its aerospace research and development program. The space program itself was a combined government and private sector partnership, and that cooperative effort was continued in order to share this jointly-produced information.
