ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to adapt from an exercise created by James and Susan Vargiu and appearing in the unpublished writings printed by The Psychosynthesis Institute when it was in Palo Alto, California. The purpose of the exercise is to gain insights into anything that might be hindering or helping one’s creativity. The exercise is designed primarily to be done at night, with the results often discussed in session later with a competent coach or therapist. After gaining some insights into specific creative concerns or becoming aware of particularly influential subpersonalities as a result of doing the Evening Review, a person might very well make beneficial changes. The creative person might take more control of his subpersonalities or cope better with creative concerns. Employ the instructions and adapt them to personalize the experience.
