ABSTRACT

Our creative process is an ever-evolving, living thing. It requires just as much attention, care, and love as we do. It’s particularly helpful for those who stand and paint for hours on end or sit hunched over, drawing or making objects. Playing with this exercise can help to boost endorphins, release tense muscles, oxygenate their blood, focus their mind in a relaxed way, and leave coaches feeling more in control of their time and process. With their feet planted hip distance apart, toes facing forward and a slight bend in their knees, gently turn their torso and head from side to side, allowing their arms to swing naturally with coaches. If coaches have limited movement capability, that needn’t stop they from doing this exercise. They can do this sitting and only moving their arms, shoulders, and head.
