ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to jumpstart a new creative project, or to get unstuck when coaches are already working on one. It is particularly suitable to writers, but it can also be used by creatives working in other mediums, as a refreshing way to overcome a stalemate, as it is quite versatile. Contemplate each shape for a few moments, softening readers focus: contemplation of geometrical figures stimulates the observer’s mind and has been used in meditation for ages. The exercise can be used best in a one-to-one coaching session or by the creative at home. It can be amplified by adding colors, sketches, and/or doodles to the five words contained within each of the four geometrical figures, in order to provide extra layering, thus enriching the silt of coaches' creative project. At home, the exercise works very well with ambient music, conscious breathing, or progressive relaxation techniques that release stress.
