ABSTRACT
This chapter uses vignettes and illustrations to discuss my experiences with regard to response, teamwork, and working to “Build Back Better” during two public health emergencies of international concern: in Guinea during the 2014 Ebola Virus Disease epidemic and in Massachusetts at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
