ABSTRACT
The director’s perspective of the problems and dilemmas which libraries have confronted in trying to provide a continuing base of information resources is addressed. Factors contributing to the reduction in purchasing power are reviewed and campus/library relationships are discussed. The author calls for routine planning for and review of library services and collections, as well as an examination of the issues related to on-site ownership versus access to information.
