ABSTRACT

To many, in general, the world of libraries, publishing houses, and booksellers still reflects an ancient image of hushed voices, dust, and timelessness. The durability of this traditional image is quite ironic, considering the technological revolutions of the last two decades, and that even today this world is still in the midst of such elemental and profound processes that it would be totally unrecognizable to anyone harboring those old time-honored notions.
