ABSTRACT
This article, written from the personal perspective of the author, chronicles some of the discoveries he made with regard to the richness and color of the newspaper articles used during the writing of his two recent books. Liberal quotations are included as examples of the style and content of columns discovered in a number of Gulf Coast newspapers.
