ABSTRACT
The Indiana State Library has accumulated the largest collection of Indiana newspapers in existence. The sheer physical size of this collection has necessitated that newspapers be administered separately from other library sources. Collection policies, preservation and storage methods, and reference and access procedures have been specifically developed for the collection. This paper details the policies and procedures employed, and includes some special considerations concerning future growth of the collection.
