ABSTRACT
Cooperative collection development among research libraries in Colorado began in 1978 when a formal structure for cooperative purchasing was developed. Since that time the philosophical framework for that structure has become more sophisticated and complex. This paper outlines the development and growth of cooperative collection activities among research libraries in Colorado with a special emphasis on the development of uniform policy statements.
