ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an advanced applications of the Solution-focused Emotional and Behavioral Assessment (SEBA) model are emphasized along with necessary steps to inform future iterations. A primary benefit of the SEBA model is the specification of core components of effective Tier I and Tier II supports, in addition to the assessment processes necessary for efficient entry into and exit from intervention. School administrators strive to do what is best for their students and have many competing priorities when determining how to use resources to meet these needs. Modern integrated systems of care depend on efficient and effective decision-making processes. Research has consistently demonstrated the efficacy of prevention frameworks with integrating social-emotional and behavioral services. The development, implementation, and sustaining of any system change effort can be a taxing and multi-year project. The SEBA process is inherently data-driven and data-statured.
