ABSTRACT

‘Corporate soul’ seems to be a new idea which incorporates not only ‘bottom-line’ thinking, but every part of the corporate body. Belief systems about the soul have historically been relegated to religion. In the view of the author, it is now necessary to look beyond traditional thinking and the outer manifestations of corporate life to see and understand the inner dynamics at work. The archetypes that have supported corporate life have been evolving over recent decades. A new perspective is required to meet changing dynamics in institutions. As indicated in many ancient tales, ‘the time is now’ to recognise the movement to a new era and a new belief about the meaning of the corporate soul.
