ABSTRACT

Human systems are a complex interplay of emotions, which shape both the behaviours of those within the system and of the consultants who work with them. To engage with these systems, consultants need to understand the effect of entering the system and the mutual web of projections that will influence their relationships. In this chapter we will explore this exchange of projections from a Jungian perspective, focusing on the psychology of the transference and its implications for consultants in understanding and managing the boundaries they encounter around and within the organizations with which they work.
