ABSTRACT
The relationship between quantum physics and analytical psychology has been one of fruitful mutual challenge and collaborative research, yielding profound discoveries which have affected both disciplines while opening areas for research currently being explored. Quantum theory is defined as:A theory in physics based on the concept of the subdivision of radiant energy into finite quanta and applied to numerous processes involving transference or transformation of energy in an atomic or molecular scale. The study of quantum mechanics led to the discovery of the uncertainty principle and the observer effect. The dialogue between quantum physics and analytical psychology started to take form in the correspondence between Carl Gustav Jung and one of his patients and colleagues, the Nobel Prize winning physicist, Wolfgang Pauli. Perhaps one of the most interesting areas of post Jungian research is emerging from the dialogue between quantum physics, neuroscience and human consciousness.
