ABSTRACT

This chapter concludes this hands-on book by summarizing the concepts, techniques, and tools for the Virtual Group Coaching (VGCs) who are working with clients in blended, remote, and virtual settings. At the beginning of the chapter, it discussed the similarity and differences between the traditional process consultation and virtual coaching in improving group dynamics. Recognizing the challenges of VGC, the Action Research model could improve the group's performance and increase the group dynamics by providing a systematic approach to promote changes, assessing the problems, prioritizing the goals, and making the action plan together with the clients. In the chapter, the basic concept of social network analysis is introduced and the VGCs could use it from the start-up phase to the evaluation phase in the coaching cycle. There is an emerging demand from the workplace for remote and virtual workers. Virtual group coaching, as the chapters have been repeating, is an ongoing process and it is not a getting-it-done intervention.
