ABSTRACT

Diagnosis focuses on problem-solving, so commonly, it goes with an assessment to measure current issues to be resolved. Diagnosis in virtual group coaching is different from that of the traditional change process. Traditional diagnosis is conducted to give people a sense of what is wrong and how issues should be resolved, as when a doctor diagnoses a patient’s condition by examining symptoms and gives a prescription. A diagnostic process is normally composed of four key steps: planning the assessment, gathering data, analyzing data, and providing feedback. A diagnostic framework is useful in that it provides a lens for a systematic diagnostic approach to complex issues or problems regarding virtual group dynamics. In a real-world scenario, virtual group coaching using process consultation can be easily implemented to enhance human relations and processes in a virtual setting.
