Sociologist Danielle Czarnecki explores how Catholic women understand reproductive technologies and make decisions about whether to use them in pursuit of motherhood. Specifically, she shows how devout women draw on religion to find value and meaning in their suffering, move beyond biological motherhood, and achieve a moral femininity.
