ABSTRACT

This chapter recounts one method of designing a research project with the explicit intention of fostering and embedding change toward sustainable social inclusion. The ‘Voices of Pacific Children with Disability’ project was conducted in Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea over a two-year period with an explicit change strategy that encompassed both capacity building and awareness raising with regards to understanding and supporting the rights and capabilities of children with disabilities. Change was targeted at different audiences, both local and global, utilising a range of different processes and products.
