ABSTRACT
Tensions exist between ensuring women’s reproductive rights and the highly regulated and politicised context in which reproductive decisions are made and carried out. Numerous social policies intend to support women’s reproductive decision-making, and how they are designed and implemented impacts women’s levels of economic participation and access to resources. Drawing on research which explored the Australian social policy context and the role of policy on and supports for reproductive decision-making, this chapter discusses four features of policy which can potentially help sustain women’s inclusion in economic participation and access to resources.
