ABSTRACT

Leadership can take many forms in the workplace. Choosing to become a leader, or to develop as a leader, is an important decision. How you engage others, listen, and establish vision and goals for the initiatives you lead will depend on how well you understand and address your own strengths and weaknesses as well as understand the factors impacting the make-up of the workforce and the evolving nature of work itself. If you choose to pursue growing your leadership capabilities, you should welcome guidance from others on the opportunities and challenges of choosing a technical versus leadership track.
